Grief + Loss Counseling

Have you recently experienced a loss and you don’t even recognize yourself anymore?

I’m here to help you through the tears, the trauma, the unexpected feelings, and everything that comes along with grief so that you can

recognize the person in the mirror.

Grief affects every aspect of your life.

Grief shows up…

  • Feeling out of control

  • Experiencing multiple emotions at once

  • Decreased self-esteem

  • Desire to isolate

  • Unsure of new roles

  • Feeling overwhelmed

It might look like…

You’re forgetting things you have always done without thought, you’re misplacing the remote in the pantry, or forgetting to pick up the dry cleaning. Maybe you’re unable to grocery shop without breaking down into tears when you hear a meaningful song, or you perhaps find yourself lashing out at those you care about.

It can be jarring to experience the shock of losing a loved one. You may be asking yourself, “is this ever going to end?” Or you may be telling yourself “I should be doing better by now.”

Everything you’re feeling makes sense but it’s also very uncomfortable; this is a tough dichotomy to wrestle with. Counseling can be helpful during this time to have a space for yourself to just feel your emotions with support from someone who understands.

Grief is an
all-consuming experience.

“Grief can feel like you’ve been knocked over by a strong wave. It’s so hard just to find your feet to stand up”
